Welcome to Nock Dental Group!

Dr. Richard Nock is a third generation dentist, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and uncle. The legacy for Nock Dental Group began in the 1920’s after Walter Nock, Sr. graduated from Northwestern Dental School in Chicago, IL in 1929 and began his career in dentistry. He and his wife, Eleanor, raised three boys, two of whom became dentists.

Fast forward to Colorado in the 1950’s when Walter Nock, Jr. and his brother, James, fell in love with the Colorado mountains (and their future wives) and decided that Colorado was where they were going to start their careers in dentistry after graduation from dental school.

Walter and his wife, Shirley, had four boys and two of them followed the family legacy and became dentists. Dr. Richard Nock graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1991 and joined his father in practice in Southeast Denver. Dr. David Nock, Richard’s brother, also graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry and is currently an Oral Surgeon in Grand Junction, CO.

For almost 50 years, Walter and James worked independently of each other in southeast Denver until they decided to combine practices and move to Lone Tree, CO with Dr. Richard Nock.

For the first time in over 50 years, Drs’ Walter, James and Richard all worked together in the same office, forming what is known today as Nock Dental Group. The three doctors practiced together for over 10 years before Walter and James made the decision to retire.

Meet

Dr. Richard D. Nock

Dentistry is my life’s work. I’m called to do it the best I can. I come from a legacy of great, caring men, who just happen to be dentists. My grandfather understood the connection between oral health and overall body health before it was widely known and emphasized in dental practice. Being around that environment influenced my decision to become a dentist and I am honored to be carrying on that legacy.
